1. Overview & Commitment to Anonymity
OmeRot ("we", "us", "our") operates the anonymous video and text chat platform available at https://omerot.com. We recognize that privacy is the absolute cornerstone of spontaneous digital communication. Our platform is purposely architected so that you can communicate freely without creating accounts, providing real names, or surrendering personal identity credentials.
This Privacy Policy sets forth our practices regarding the minimal technical data collected, how third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) operate on our site, and your rights under global privacy frameworks including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
2. What We Explicitly Do NOT Collect or Store
Unlike traditional social media networks and messaging applications, OmeRot maintains a strict anti-surveillance architecture:
- No Video or Audio Recording: Video and audio media streams flow directly between connecting peers via encrypted WebRTC (DTLS-SRTP). We do not record, intercept, transcribe, or store your live camera or microphone data on our servers.
- No Permanent Chat Transcripts: Text messages exchanged within an active session exist solely in client-side memory. Once either participant disconnects or navigates away, text records are erased permanently.
- No Personal Profiles: We do not ask for your real name, email address, password, phone number, address, or social media links.
- No Facial Recognition: We do not deploy biometric analysis, facial scanning, or user identity fingerprinting algorithms.
3. Information Processed for Platform Delivery
To provide real-time matching and maintain cyber defense, our infrastructure processes ephemeral technical telemetry:
