Our Community Vision

OmeRot is designed for authentic, spontaneous human interaction. Every day, thousands of people from over 190 countries connect to share stories, practice foreign languages, make international friends, and exchange ideas.

To keep this global community vibrant, constructive, and enjoyable, all participants must abide by these Community Guidelines. Using OmeRot is a privilege, not an entitlement. Violations result in immediate loss of access.

Encouraged Behaviors (What to Do)

    Be Kind & Welcoming: Greet your chat partner courteously. Remember that cultural perspectives, English proficiency, and backgrounds vary dramatically across our global user base.

    Respect Boundaries: If your chat partner declines to discuss a certain topic or wishes to move on, respect their comfort level without pressure.

    Use Interest Tags Thoughtfully: Enter relevant hobby or topic tags (e.g., "coding", "music", "anime", "travel") to discover like-minded conversationalists.

    Report Violations Promptly: Help us keep OmeRot clean by using the built-in "Report" button whenever you witness inappropriate conduct.

Strictly Prohibited Conduct (Zero Tolerance)

1. Sexual Content, Nudity & Lewd Conduct

Displaying genitals, performing sexual acts, displaying adult toys, exposing undergarments, or broadcasting pornography is strictly banned. OmeRot is NOT an adult entertainment platform.

2. Child Exploitation & Minor Participation

Any participation by minors under the age of 18 is prohibited. Any content depicting or encouraging child sexual abuse or exploitation results in instant permanent bans and unconditional referral to law enforcement and NCMEC.

3. Hate Speech, Harassment & Bullying

Promoting violence, using racial or ethnic slurs, demeaning religious beliefs, or attacking others based on sexual orientation or gender identity will not be tolerated.

4. Doxxing & Non-Consensual Recording

Screen recording other users, taking unauthorized screenshots, or attempting to expose another user's real name, location, IP address, or social media handles is an immediate ground for a permanent ban.

5. Automated Bots, Spiders & Commercial Spam

Running automated chat scripts, virtual camera loop spoofers, selling commercial merchandise, promoting external paid webcam links, or cryptocurrency scams is strictly prohibited.

Moderation & Enforcement Process

OmeRot employs a multi-tiered enforcement strategy to detect and neutralize abusive participants:

Community ReportingImmediate flags dispatched during active sessions signal our trust & safety routing pipeline.
Algorithmic FiltersReal-time heuristic scanners flag repetitive bot text patterns and rapid connection spammers.
IP & Device BlacklistingOffenders face tiered time-outs ranging from 24-hour bans to permanent hardware and edge network blocks.

If you believe your IP was restricted in error, you may file an appeal by submitting an explanation to abuse@omerot.com.
